Highguard added an experimental 5v5 raid mode with longer respawns on Jan. 30, just four days after the game’s release, the developer said in a Steam community post.

The post described the new option as a more “hectic” alternate format and opened with “We heard the feedback,” signaling the change was made in response to player sentiment.

Reactions to Highguard’s original 3v3 format have been mixed since launch, with discussion in Steam reviews and on the game’s subreddit—such as a thread from user mexicantacothief—and PC Gamer staff writer Morgan Park calling the timing “ill-timed” even as he offered more positive impressions overall.

The developers clarified the 5v5 is a separate playlist and not intended to replace the existing mode: “This is a separate playlist and not meant to replace 3’s. 3v3 Raids are still there for people who enjoy it!” the blog post said.

It’s currently experimental, so it remains to be seen how players will respond long-term and whether the mode will become a permanent fixture alongside 3v3.
