Highguard's animated lore fills the gap left by Apex Legends

Highguard’s rocky launch has eased into steady improvement: its default 3v3 raid mode felt slow to long-time Apex Legends players, but an experimental 5v5 mode — made permanent after player feedback — introduced a more chaotic pace that resonated with the community.

Last week Wildlight released a five-minute animated short called "Wardens" that explains Highguard’s origins and the relationships between its Wardens. 6, Wildlight uploaded a second short, "Skydrift," which reveals the medallion as a demiarch relic. In that episode Atticus teams with Condor and new Warden Ekon, runs into Una, and sees Redmane steal the relic before Ekon’s wolf-form defeats Una, Slade, and Redmane.
