Highguard adds wolf-shifting hero Ekon, new map, mount and ranked play
Coverage from Pcgamer notes a major update—Highguard Episode 2—is coming to Steam, adding a new hero, a new map, a new mount, and ranked play. The new character, Ekon, can shapeshift into a direwolf and effectively becomes his own mount rather than summoning a phantom.
In Wolf Form Ekon gains unmatched speed, a full third-person view that can see around cover, a forward dash bite that returns him to human form to finish an attack, a small air dash when attacking without a target, and the ability to track enemies by scent; he can also use his other powers while transformed.
The update introduces the fabled lost city of Skydrift, a huge castle built on floating rocks linked by colossal chain bridges and "Sky Jumpers." Wardens can navigate caverns, spar in an ancient ring, and ride to Skydrift's highest point, a palace above the clouds; the map will be playable in both 3v3 and 5v5 modes.
