Wildlight Entertainment has rolled out Highguard 1.0.4, a launch-week patch that adds FoV sliders for consoles, toggle options for Aim Down Sights and Crouch, multiple video settings, and other fixes. The studio said it is still working on optimization improvements that need a few more days to complete.

Players on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S can now adjust FoV up to 110. The update also introduces new video options to help limit rendering load, including low scalability settings for shadows and reflections, a View Distance Quality setting for skeletal mesh LODs, toggles for anisotropic materials, chromatic aberration, and bloom, and an Off option for Global Illumination.

Motion blur and depth of field cannot yet be disabled but are expected in a future patch. Input changes include the ability to set Crouch to Hold or Toggle on all platforms and the ability to set ADS to Hold or Toggle on PC for now. The patch notes warn that toggling into ADS then tapping Sprint will swap your scope, a behavior PC players are advised to address by rebinding scope swap until console rebinds are implemented.

The update also fixes several crashes and bugs, including a PS5 crash that could occur after leaving matches, issues loading into matches on machines with slower storage, and online presence and matchmaking problems. Wildlight said major crash fixes have reduced crashes by about 90 percent, and friend status and Xbox presence updates now work correctly.
