After last week’s studio layoffs and a period of radio silence, Wildlight Entertainment quietly pushed a content drop for Highguard. The update is content-focused, adding a new Base and a powerful Raid Tool, along with new store offerings. It also adds the Cloudbreach map, set at the launchpad for a giant airship; the Lockpick, which lets you shoot a dart at doors and windows to take control of them during raids (a purple variant adds an electric shock); and new Moonbruin Mounts that resemble Owlbears.

Patch notes say the team is working on next week’s patch to bring a new game mode focused on the Raid experience and some weapon balance adjustments. The Raid experience pits one team breaching a base against defenders, with objectives that include planting bombs and breaching destructible walls.

Gadgets assist with entry, including zip-lines you can shoot out from a siege tower to quickly get behind enemy lines.
