Hilary Duff says she 'always' fears husband Matthew Koma will leave her
Hilary Duff says she is constantly worried her husband Matthew Koma might wake up one day and want to be with someone else. "I always think Matt's going to leave me for some coolio indie songwriter that he works with," Duff, 38, admitted, adding that it's a recurring dream.
She addresses the insecurity in her new song "Holiday Party," singing, "In my head you live another life / Where you f–k all my friends / And wish someone else could've been your wife." Koma, also 38, quickly shut down her fears, calling them "Which is so insane," and adding, "But also very real. Those are real things to get hung up on emotionally." The couple began dating in 2017 after a setup by Koma's talent scout and, Duff said, "We ended up hanging for two hours, just talking about music." He later emailed his manager saying she was "really pretty," and then corrected that he had actually written he wanted to marry her.
