Hilary Duff shares explicit confessions in new single 'Roommates'
Pagesix reports that Hilary Duff shared steamy confessions in her racy 'Roommates' single, which premiered with a music video Thursday night.
In the first verse she sings about giving a partner 'hints' she wants to hook up since 'physical affection goes a long way with' her. The chorus recalls an intense start when she was at the 'back of the dive bar giving … head' and contrasts that with 'touching [her]self by the front door' wanting her significant other to 'look [her] way.' Duff later changes the chorus to a line about 'touching [her]self looking at porn,' and she sings she does not want to 'beg' her partner, adding, 'You know what I want.' In the sultry video she belts the suggestive lyrics in a soaking-wet yellow dress.
Duff celebrated the release on Instagram, calling 'Roommates' a song about 'the restless hum of wanting to find your way back' to yourself, and her husband Matthew Koma — who produced and co-wrote songs on her upcoming album 'luck … or something' — commented, 'You crushed so hard ba 🧡.' The piece also notes recent headlines this month about Ashley Tisdale's essay for the Cut about leaving their 'toxic' mom group, Koma's mock response with a fake article headline, that Duff and Mandy Moore have yet to weigh in, and Meghan Trainor saying she was 'not involved.'
