Holly Hunter says she could begin Incredibles 3 voice work in March
Movieweb reports that franchise star Holly Hunter said she expects to begin recording lines for Incredibles 3, adding, "I think I start in March."
Hunter, who voices Helen Parr / Elasti-Girl in the series, gave the update to Screen Rant while promoting her role in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. At D23 2024 Pixar confirmed the sequel is moving forward; Brad Bird is writing the screenplay but will not direct, and Peter Sohn will helm the film. Hunter said she has not read the script yet and will likely learn more when she goes in to record, noting, "I don't know. I never do know. I never know what the stories are of Incredibles."
Incredibles 3 currently has no set release date. The studio's schedule lists Toy Story 5 for June 2026 and the original film Gatto for Mar. 5, 2027, and Pete Doctor said Incredibles 3 and Coco 2 will be "2028 and beyond," meaning the sequel might aim for the 2028 window. The Incredibles is among Pixar's most successful franchises: the original grossed $631 million worldwide and won the Academy Award for Best Animated Film, while Incredibles 2 grossed $1.2 billion worldwide and holds a 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
