How to get Yokai Teardrops in Nioh 3
Yokai Teardrops are an item you can begin collecting very early in Nioh 3, though their uses become clearer as you progress. They help unlock new skills, rare items, essential consumables and more, so it pays to gather them whenever you can. Kappas are the most reliable source.
These loot-goblin equivalents have shiny, spiky gold shells and produce a loot explosion when killed that often includes one or two Yokai Teardrops. Most kappas run away when attacked, but some — increasingly common in later regions — will fight back. You can also get Teardrops from hot springs by standing in the water, undressing and bathing for a few moments; this heals you and grants a couple of Teardrops, though hot springs are one-time use.
Scampusses can reward Teardrops when you catch them, and crucible wraiths, lesser crucibles, bosses and myths can all drop them, so completing optional content helps increase your haul.
