Kotaku reports the Viva New Vegas guide doesn’t try to remake the game but fixes the messy PC port for modern machines, reducing crashes and performance issues and making New Vegas run soundly on a modern PC.

The guide can also be used on Steam Deck. The guide offers optional mods and quality-of-life tweaks—examples Kotaku cites include adding more NPCs, a sprint button, and improved textures that preserve the original game’s vibe.
