How to Watch the 2026 Westminster Dog Show
Nytimes reports the 150th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show takes place at Madison Square Garden, with the main event on Tuesday. The New York Times will provide live analysis as representatives of more than 200 breeds compete for best in show. Group winners in the sporting, working and terrier categories are decided beginning at 7:30 p.m.

More than 3,000 dogs from all 50 states compete across seven groups. Dogs are judged first within their breed, then against other breeds in their group, with the seven group winners meeting for best in show; judges assess how closely dogs adhere to the American Kennel Club’s breed standards, and David Fitzpatrick is the best in show judge.
