Hugh Jackman's Song Sung Blue Tops Amazon VOD, Holds 97% Audience Score
Movieweb reports that less than a month after its cinema debut, Song Sung Blue — starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson — has shot to the top of the Amazon Store's VOD chart.
The film follows Jackman's Mike Sardina, a down-on-his-luck musician who forms a Neil Diamond tribute act with a Patsy Cline impersonator, Claire, charting the couple's relationship through marriage, personal struggles and Diamond's music. Jackman performs all the tracks in the film himself and, although he is not playing Neil Diamond, the report says he delivers an admirable Diamond impression. Song Sung Blue has a reported $48 million box office against a $30 million budget and currently holds a 97% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, with viewer praise such as "outstanding performances," "Oscar worthy" and "absolutely stellar."
The film is now available on VOD services including Amazon and the Apple TV Store. Release details listed in the report include a December 25, 2025 release date, a 133-minute runtime, and Craig Brewer credited as director and writer; producers named are Craig Brewer, John Davis, John Fox and H.H. Cooper.
