Pagesix reports artist Hunt Slonem has purchased Seaview Terrace, a nearly $30 million mansion located on Rhode Island’s famed Cliff Walk. The Elizabethan Revival manse, which had been listed at $28.5 million, sits on eight acres and includes 29 bedrooms, 18 baths and about 43,772 square feet.

Built by Gilded Age whiskey titan Edson Bradley, parts of the French‑Gothic house were disassembled in 1923 and relocated to Newport; its exterior was used as Collinwood Mansion in the 1960s series Dark Shadows. The property — the fifth-largest mansion in Newport — has served as U.S.

Army officers’ quarters in World War II, an elite all‑girls school and the home of entrepreneur and preservationist Martin Thomas Carey, and features stained glass, an organ room, a whispering gallery and a theater. Slonem, whose work has appeared in the Guggenheim and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, has said on his website: "My homes are my life’s work—making old houses into a new form of my art." The house is known for reported paranormal activity and was featured on the show Ghost Hunters; owners in a 2011 episode said they heard disembodied voices, felt cold breezes and observed door handles jiggling.
