Hytale adds dinosaurs in update four days after release

Pcgamer reports that Hytale received a sizable update adding dinosaurs just four days after the game's release.

The game is finally playable after a long run through development hell and has already earned enough to fund two years of further development. Senior editor Christopher Livingston wrote in his impressions that the game "has a long road ahead" but that "what's here and working works well." The update's patch notes begin with the line "added dinosaurs."

The full patch notes are available on the Hytale website, which has hosted several recent info drops about the game's lore and design plans. The studio moved quickly after Hypixel owner Simon Collins-Laflamme acquired and revived the project following its cancellation by Riot: gameplay footage appeared a day after the deal, and two months later the team had a playable build with fully implemented dinosaurs.
