Two years after Snowpiercer wrapped its final run, streaming viewers have gravitated toward another high-stakes, trapped-in-transit thriller: Hijack. The Idris Elba-led drama returned for Season 2 on Apple TV more than two years after its debut and is once again climbing the streaming charts.

Season 2 opened to a rough 20% on Rotten Tomatoes before rising to 58% as more reviews arrived, a noticeable drop from Season 1’s 90% and one that has pulled the show’s overall critics’ score down to 74%. The audience score for the new season hasn’t landed yet; Season 1 drew a mixed 51% from viewers.

Elba stars as Sam Nelson, a corporate negotiator who keeps finding himself in perilous situations. Season 1 trapped Nelson aboard Kingdom Flight K29 when it was hijacked midair; Season 2 swaps the plane for a Berlin underground train, with a creeping suggestion that Nelson’s presence may not be accidental.
