I'll watch the Super Bowl on a $319 XGIMI Elfin Flip
The Super Bowl is a big deal in this house. After a year of late-night games, seeing the two top teams duke it out is a perfect excuse to eat junk food and shout at the TV, and this year it won’t be LG taking the brunt of those shouts — it’ll be XGIMI. I’ve tested projectors across the price scale, including ultra-luxury $18,000 offerings from Sony.
Yet since setting up the XGIMI Elfin Flip, an unassuming 1080p thrower that easily props up on a coffee table or a shelf, I’ve been looking at high-end lasers a little differently. At its $319.99 Prime members price, the Flip is my go-to right now. For me it comes down to convenience.
The Flip fits in spots a bigger projector wouldn’t, turns on and gives instant access to Netflix and Amazon Prime without a streaming stick, and has built-in speakers so I don’t need to keep wires tangled for external audio. It doesn’t require endless calibration to feel worth using.
