Inter Miami becomes MLS’s most valuable club at $1.45 billion
Inter Miami has become Major League Soccer’s most valuable club, reaching a league-high valuation of $1.45 billion in Sportico’s latest MLS valuations. The club now tops five teams worth more than $1 billion, moving ahead of LAFC, which is valued at $1.4 billion.
The surge follows Lionel Messi’s arrival: Inter Miami rose from a pre-Messi valuation of $585 million and is projected to see a 75 percent revenue increase, with estimates pointing toward $250 million in revenue by 2026. Sportico’s top five valuations place LA Galaxy at $1.17 billion, Atlanta United at $1.14 billion and NYCFC at $1.12 billion.
Across the league, the average franchise value is $767 million and all 30 MLS teams are worth a combined $23 billion, up 39 percent on Sportico’s 2021 valuations. Concerns persist about widening gaps — Inter Miami is worth about 3.4 times CF Montreal’s $480 million — and national TV revenues lag other U.S.
