Jacob Wysocki’s “You Are a Regular Guy” rant from Dropout’s comedy improv show Make Some Noise has become a viral sensation, with the clip originating from season 4, episode 4 “Zunk, Junk, and Dunk,” which premiered on Dropout.tv on Nov. 24, 2025, Polygon reports. In the episode Wysocki, Zac Oyama and Devin Field take turns trying to play a Renaissance-era Hümmelchen bagpipe, and Wysocki stands out as the best musician of the bunch.

A later prompt, “These Daily Affirmations are a Bit Off,” produced Wysocki’s frenetic, loud rant with the refrain “You are a regular guy!” Host Sam Reich responded “Wow!” and said, “I found that one strangely inspiring.” In the weeks after the episode premiered the clip blew up on TikTok, racking up hundreds of thousands of views and likes and spawning remixes, guitar riffs and entire songs.

Australian singer Montaigne turned the rant into an original song during a two-and-a-half-hour livestream in early December, and Polygon highlighted a TikTok that pairs the affirmation with clips from Heated Rivalry showing Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) doing everyday “regular guy” actions.

Wysocki told Polygon he was “just riffing hard, man,” adding, “Look, dude, if you give me a couple bucks, you give me a prompt, I riff hard. That's just how it works.
