Jar Jar comic links fractal radio network to Andor
Marvel’s one-shot Jar Jar, written by Ahmed Best and Marc Guggenheim with art by Kieran McKeown and Laura Braga (colors by Mike Atiyeh, cover by Taurin Clarke), sends Jar Jar Binks to the planet Urubai alongside Jedi Master Kellaran Beq. What appears to be a paradise hides brutal labor camps mining coaxium, a hyperfuel; those conditions were allowed by emergency powers granted to Chancellor Palpatine, a vote Jar Jar cast near the end of Attack of the Clones.
Beq and Jar Jar discover that the laborers have also unearthed a rare crystal called cyphristal, capable of forming a fractal radio network. As Beq tells Jar Jar, “secure, private communications will allow for the truth to be shared and the opposition to be organized.
If that happens, then we have a means to always fight back.
