Collider reports that Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista co-star as estranged half-brothers in Prime Video’s new action comedy The Wrecking Crew, and the first trailer has been released.

Momoa plays Jonny, a loose-cannon cop whose life is a mess, while Bautista is James, a disciplined Navy SEAL family man. The pair reunite on the streets of Hawaii to investigate their father’s mysterious death, unearthing long-buried secrets, testing loyalties and confronting shared trauma as they fight through a conspiracy. The film was shot in Oahu, directed by Ángel Manuel Soto and written by Jonathan Tropper; Bautista originally floated the buddy-cop idea on Twitter in 2021 and, the article says, “got two out of three of those wishes.” According to Soto, "Jason brings this wild, crazy, unpredictable side. And Dave brings this disciplined, methodical, slow-burn intensity to him...So what you see in the movie is not that different from the way they are in real life."

The supporting cast includes Claes Bang as the villain, with Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Frankie Adams, Miyavi, Stephen Root and Morena Baccarin. The Wrecking Crew arrives on Prime Video on January 28, and the trailer is available now.
