Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista star in Prime Video's The Wrecking Crew trailer
Movieweb reports Prime Video has unveiled the first trailer for The Wrecking Crew, an action film starring Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista that follows two estranged half-brothers pulled into a wide-ranging conspiracy in Hawaii.
The footage, from director Ángel Manuel Soto, shows Jonny (Momoa) and James (Bautista) reuniting after their father’s death and clashing with dangerous groups including the Yakuza as they uncover a mystery that threatens the land and its people. Born out of a social media post by Bautista in 2021, the buddy cop thriller reunites the Dune and See co-stars and features Claes Bang, Temuera Morrison, Jacob Batalon, Miyavi, Morena Baccarin and others, with a screenplay by Jonathan Tropper.
Soto has said he wanted the film to be more than mindless action, aiming to explore Hawaiian culture and “the corruption and greed at the expense of the erasure of Indigenous people.” The Wrecking Crew is scheduled to premiere on Prime Video on January 28, 2026.
