Jason Statham’s 2026 slate: Shelter Jan. 30; Mutiny Aug. 21
Jason Statham shows no signs of slowing: going into 2026 he has two films with confirmed release dates and several others in development. Shelter is due Jan. 30, 2026, and Mutiny is set for Aug. 21, 2026; other announced projects include Fast X: Part 2, The Beekeeper 2 and Guy Ritchie’s Viva La Madness.
Shelter reunites Statham with director Ric Roman Waugh for the first time and is produced by Statham’s Punch Palace Productions alongside Black Bear. Scripted by Ward Perry, the island-set thriller follows Mason, a Scottish recluse who rescues a young girl at sea only to have his home invaded by mysterious assailants from his past.
Waugh is known for Felon, Snitch, Shot Caller, Greenland and he also helmed Angel Has Fallen and Kandahar. Mutiny is directed by Jean-Francois Richet and casts Statham as Cole Reed, a former Special Forces operative and ex-NYC police officer framed for the murder of a billionaire industrialist—his friend and boss Tibu.
Annabelle Wallis, Jason Wong and Ben Cartwright are attached in unspecified roles, and Statham’s Punch Palace Productions gave him more creative input on the project. Mutiny marks his first collaboration with Richet, who directed Plane, Mesrine and Assault on Precinct 13. Fast X: Part 2 currently has no confirmed release date; it was initially rumored for mid-2026 but there is speculation it could be delayed to 2027.
