Jesse Lee Soffer and Tracy Spiridakos to Return to Chicago P.D.

Nbc reported that Jesse Lee Soffer's Jay Halstead and Tracy Spiridakos's Hailey Upton will return for a three-part One Chicago crossover joining Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. A 15-second teaser features Sergeant Hank Voight saying, "We made a vow to protect this city," alongside clips of Kelly Severide scaling a skyscraper and Dr.

John Frost rushing into the Emergency Department. The teaser also shows Halstead appearing nervous and greeting a blood‑splattered Upton with the line, "Good to see you." Their separation stemmed from Halstead's resignation from the Intelligence Unit to accept a job in Bolivia hunting drug cartels, after which Upton filed for divorce and left the unit for a new job in a different town.

Soffer has returned to direct occasional episodes since his 2022 exit, and this crossover marks his first on‑screen appearance since leaving the series. The three‑hour 2026 One Chicago crossover airs Wednesday, March 4, beginning at 8/7c, with Chicago Fire at 8/7c, Chicago Med at 9/8c and Chicago P.D.
