People reports that Jessica Simpson, 45, told TMZ on Monday, Jan. 12 she would not appear on the ABC dating series The Bachelorette, saying, "I have options" and "I'm good."

A TMZ reporter suggested her participation might boost ratings; Simpson replied, "No, I don't care about that." She confirmed in January 2025 that she and ex-husband Eric Johnson were going their separate ways, and they share three children: Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, 13, Ace Knute, 12, and Birdie Mae, 6.

In October 2025, tied to her Mystic Canyon fragrance, Simpson discussed a period of "self-discovery" and said she wasn't focused on age, adding, "I feel like we get caught up in numbers." She also told Extra that she is "into younger men" at the moment and that "I'm having fun!"
