John Legend Raps 'Drop It Like It's Hot' at NYC Karaoke Bar
The Coaches of The Voice: Battle of Champions took a night out to Baby Grand in the Lower East Side, and John Legend grabbed the mic to rap Snoop Dogg's "Drop It Like It's Hot" on February 19, with fellow Season 29 coach Kelly Clarkson serving as his hype woman and back-up dancer.
Legend hyped the young crowd beforehand, saying, "I picked a song and I think I'm gonna smash it!" and asking, "Are you all too young for this?" After flawlessly rapping Snoop's 2004 lyrics, he gave recognition to the Doggfather: "Shout out to Snoop Dogg!" Comedian and social media star Druski provided additional backing vocals, and Snoop had recently completed his second season as a Voice coach, making it a true Voice family moment.
Host Carson Daly was also in the bar and quipped, "[Performing] is not my job, Im the host.
