Johnny Knoxville will not take head hits in Jackass 5
Movieweb reports Johnny Knoxville said he will not allow himself to be hit in the head while performing stunts for the upcoming Jackass 5.
Speaking on the Books That Changed My Life podcast, Knoxville reflected on injuries sustained during Jackass Forever, including a broken rib, a broken wrist, a concussion, and a brain injury after being struck by a bull. He said he is back but must change how he participates: "I can't do anything where I can get another concussion. [I'm] way over my limit for concussions, but I don't care about anything else. I just can't get hit in the head anymore."
Paramount Pictures is set to release Jackass 5 in June 2026, with Knoxville joined by "Danger" Aaron McGhehey, Steve-O, and Jason "Wee Man" Acuña, among others, and the new cast from Jackass Forever could return. The producers have reached an agreement for Bam Margera to appear only via archival footage; he will not take part in new stunts or appear alongside his former colleagues.
Knoxville added that "a lot of other guys can" still perform more dangerous stunts and described the films as "pure hell for the cast, but they're a lot of fun for me. They're having fun, too. I'm very excited about that."
