Josh Allen says he and pregnant Hailee Steinfeld will 'figure things out' as parents
On Jan. 29, after the Buffalo Bills introduced Joe Brady as their new head coach, quarterback Josh Allen said he and his pregnant wife, Hailee Steinfeld, will prepare "to the best of our abilities" before welcoming their baby but will also have to "figure things out on the go."
Allen told reporters he has known about the pregnancy "from well in advance," noting he has siblings and many friends with kids and that "I don't know if you can plan too far in advance." He added that becoming a dad is "the most important thing I'll ever be in my life" and that he is looking forward to it.
The couple announced in December that they're expecting their first child. Steinfeld revealed the news in a Substack post that included a video of her posing in the snow as Allen kissed her stomach; she wore a fleece that read "mother" and the clip ended with the two holding hands in front of a tiny snowman.
The pair later shared the same video on Instagram, where Allen commented "I love you ❤️." In early January Steinfeld posted photos that included a shadow shot showing her growing belly with a piece of art reading "Mothers Are Underrated" and a Christmas tree ornament featuring a butter yellow onesie embroidered "Baby Beau."
At the press conference Allen did not outline a detailed parenting plan, saying instead that they will prepare as best they can and "figure things out on the go" as they expand their family.
