Jude Law and Andrew Garfield photographed in costume as Siegfried and Roy
People reports Jude Law and Andrew Garfield were photographed in Las Vegas while filming the upcoming AppleTV series Wild Things. In the images Law, 53, appears as Siegfried Fischbacher with a platinum-blonde mullet, oversized aviators and a leather jacket, while Garfield, 42, portrays Roy Horn with a soul patch, longer hair, a black flat cap, light sunglasses and a bright blue blazer.
The series is based on the podcast Wild Things: Siegfried & Roy; per the official logline, Variety reported it will chronicle “the wild ride relationship tale of two of the greatest showman-magicians in history who, along with their white tigers, are tasked with turning Sin City into a family-friendly destination.” Variety added that “the duo push the concept of illusion versus reality to the extreme, personally and professionally, until tragedy reframes and opens a mystery surrounding their last fateful Las Vegas show.” The story recounts that the duo first met on a cruise ship in 1957, when Horn, then Fischbacher’s assistant, suggested adding a cheetah, and that they toured small clubs before getting a break at a Paris casino in 1967; a producer in the audience invited them to Las Vegas, the Las Vegas Sun reported.
They opened Siegfried & Roy at The Mirage in February 1990 and ran until October 2003, when Horn was attacked onstage by a 600-lb. tiger named Montecore on his 59th birthday; the pair took a final bow together in 2009.
