Jujutsu Kaisen S3 episode 6 spotlights Yuji Itadori's cog mindset
Polygon reports that episode 6 of Jujutsu Kaisen season 3, titled "Cog," opens with a sequence pitting Kirara Hoshi against Megumi Fushiguro with Panda's help, then shifts to a confrontation between Yuji Itadori and Kinji Hakari on the roof of Gachinko Fight Club.
In the rooftop clash Yuji refuses to fight offensively and absorbs four cursed-energy hits to prove his resolve, telling Hakari he is a "cog"—an interchangeable part whose purpose is to serve as a tool to exorcise curses. The episode marks the first time Yuji directly acknowledges that cog metaphor, a stance shaped by his grandfather's influence and the aftermath of the Shibuya Incident.
Hakari comes to read Yuji's resilience as a different kind of passion and moves to ally with him. The episode also showcases MAPPA's technical artistry, especially in Megumi and Panda's confrontation with Kirara's constellation-based Love Rendezvous technique.
