The Division lead Julian Gerighty leaves Ubisoft for Battlefield Studios
Gamesradar reports that Julian Gerighty, lead on Tom Clancy's The Division who has worked at Ubisoft since 1999, will soon leave Ubisoft to join Battlefield Studios under EA.
The move comes a little over a week after Ubisoft announced it would "improve efficiency and reduce costs" by closing its recently unionized Halifax studio, impacting 71 positions, and a month after Battlefield lead Vince Zampella's tragic death. Gerighty wrote on Twitter, "It's time for me to hang up my go bag (keeping the watch) as I go on another grand adventure."
Massive said, "While we'll miss him, his mark will live on at Massive and we'll continue to bring the world he's been part of creating to our players for years to come." It also told fans "don't worry" and said it still plans on making "an ambitious, unchanged commitment for the future with The Division 2, The Division 2: Survivors, The Division Resurgence and The Division 3."
