Jurgen Klopp to return to Anfield as Kenny Dalglish’s assistant for March legends game

Jurgen Klopp will make an emotional return to Anfield on 28 March, joining Liverpool legend Kenny Dalglish as his assistant for a Liverpool v Dortmund legends charity match held for the LFC Foundation. Klopp spent nine years in charge at Liverpool, guiding the club to Premier League and Champions League success, and left Anfield in May 2024 to an emotional farewell.

In his parting remarks he told supporters: "I will never walk alone again." For the March fixture Klopp — now Head of Global Soccer for Red Bull — will be in the dugout alongside Sir Kenny, with Steven Gerrard set to captain the Reds. All proceeds from the event will go towards the work of Liverpool's foundation and Forever Reds.
