Collider reports that the Netflix comedy Running Point has racked up more than 209 million streaming hours.

Created by Mindy Kaling, Elaine Ko, Ike Barinholtz and David Stassen, the series follows the Los Angeles Waves and the dysfunctional Gordon family. After team president Cam Gordon (Justin Theroux) has his drug problems exposed in a car accident, he names his sister Isla (Kate Hudson) as his replacement; she must manage the team while contending with siblings Ness (Scott MacArthur) and Sandy (Drew Tarver) and a supporting ensemble that includes Brenda Song, Fabrizio Guido, Chet Hanks and Jay Ellis. Season 1 runs 10 episodes and mixes workplace comedy with family drama, with the piece noting it calls to mind Ted Lasso’s underdog sports angle and Succession’s family dysfunction.

Season 1’s finale delivers several major twists and, the report says, sets up a radical change for Running Point’s sophomore run. With Season 2 on track to arrive this year, the series is being positioned as a timely binge for viewers to catch up before the new season.
