Kate Middleton and Prince William share Valentine's Day photo

The Prince and Princess of Wales posted a black-and-white photograph of themselves smiling to Instagram for Valentine’s Day. The image was taken during an April photo shoot in Anmer, Norfolk, captured by photographer Josh Shinner and comes from the same session used for the couple’s 2025 Christmas card.

Their caption read: “Happy Valentine’s Day 💕.” Last year the couple marked the occasion with a rarer public display of affection, a photo of William kissing Middleton’s cheek. The post arrives weeks after Middleton spoke about her cancer experience. She shared a video of herself visiting patients and, in a voiceover, said: “On World Cancer Day, my thoughts are with everyone who is facing a cancer diagnosis, undergoing treatment or finding their way through recovery.

Cancer touches so many lives — not only patients, but the families and friends and caregivers who walk beside them. As anyone who has experienced this journey will know, it’s not linear. There are moments of fear and exhaustion.
