Kehl preparing contract talks for Felix Nmecha amid Premier League interest

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Sebastian Kehl says he is working behind the scenes to secure the future of Felix Nmecha, whose form has drawn interest from Manchester United and Chelsea. After a standout Champions League display in the 2-0 first-leg win over Atalanta, Kehl praised Nmecha’s ability to resolve game situations, create space and generate numerical advantages, calling him “an incredibly important player.” The 25-year-old, who joined from Wolfsburg in 2023 for €30 million, has made 34 appearances this season, scoring five goals and providing three assists.

Dortmund intend to open formal contract talks to reflect his role, mindful that his current salary of approximately €5m per year and his contract running until 2028 do not mirror his rising stock.
