The sequel to Mel Brooks’s 1987 spoof Spaceballs is due in 2027, but beyond a cast reveal inspired by The Force Awakens and a humorous announcement video, few details have emerged. Returning are Rick Moranis (his first live-action role in 27 years) as Dark Helmet, Bill Pullman as Lone Starr, Daphne Zuniga as Princess Vespa, George Wyner presumably as Colonel Sandurz, and Mel Brooks presumably as both Yogurt and President Skroob.

Newcomers listed include Lewis Pullman, Josh Gad, Anthony Carrigan and Keke Palmer, with Lewis Pullman reportedly playing Starburst, the son of Lone Starr and Vespa. Speaking to Polygon while promoting her Peacock series The ‘Burbs, Palmer declined to reveal specifics about her character Destiny, saying, “No, I can’t actually.” She did, however, rave about the production.

“The movie was so fun to film,” she said. “I couldn’t believe that I was working with Rick Moranis, that blew my freaking mind, Bill Pullman is like the best. Lewis Pullman, also awesome. Josh Greenbaum, amazing director.
