Kelly Clarkson’s Symbolic Outfit for Her First Day as a Voice Coach

When Kelly Clarkson joined The Voice as a coach in Season 14, she arrived as a proven hit-maker and a veteran of TV singing competitions. She won over fans with a sunny personality and a ball-buster attitude — and she talked a lot. “I’m sure wherever [Clarkson] is right now, people are passing out because there’s no oxygen left in the room,” fellow coach Blake Shelton quipped, while Adam Levine defended her: “She can talk all she wants.

I will never not love it, I think she’s hysterical.” For her first ever Blind Audition round back in 2014, Clarkson wore a black leather dress with the number “14” in bright gold letters on the front, a sporty, on-theme look that nodded to the season number like a jersey.

She returns as one of three superstar coaches on The Voice: Battle of Champions, alongside Adam Levine and John Legend. She’s been on quite the journey since her first episode as a coach in 2018, but one thing that hasn’t changed is her spirit.
