The Deputy Commissioner of Public Information confirmed to Page Six on Friday that Nickelodeon star Kianna Underwood, 33, was found with severe injuries and pronounced dead at the scene after being struck in a hit-and-run in Brooklyn’s Brownsville neighborhood. Authorities said the operator of the vehicle "did not remain on scene" and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.

Underwood began acting at age 7 and had her breakout role in 2005 when she joined the cast of Nickelodeon’s All That for its tenth season. She also spent a year on the first national tour of Hairspray as Little Inez, voiced Fuchsia on Nick Jr.’s Little Bill, and was hired for All That’s tenth season to replace Jamie Lynn Spears; she acted alongside Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell. Her last credited role was on All That, and after the show’s cancellation she appeared to move back to her native New York City and stop acting.

Underwood lived a very private life for the past 20 years but resurfaced in a 2023 social media video in which she identified herself, saying, "Kianna Underwood from 'All That' on Nickelodeon," and repeating it. It is unclear where she was living or if she was working. Several All That alums have since spoken out about alleged abuse on the show’s set; Underwood has never publicly done so.
