Kim Kardashian says Harry and Meghan photos were removed to respect Remembrance Day
Kim Kardashian said on her sister Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, Khloé In Wonder Land, Wednesday that she and their mom Kris Jenner deleted Instagram photos of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last November because it was “really innocent” — they took them down to respect Remembrance Day.
Kim, 45, said Jenner and Meghan have been friends for years and that they had been going through photos from Jenner’s star-studded 70th birthday bash to decide which snaps to post. “We were told that it was totally cool to post,” she said, but after posting they realized the timing and removed the images.
She noted that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex being photographed at the Baby2Baby Gala earlier that night “may have been fine,” but “maybe not partying and dancing on the dance floor or whatever,” so they removed the party shots “to respect Remembrance Day.”
Kim said they briefly considered making light of the situation with a “full Skims campaign,” joking about posting and then deleting the photo, and added she “hated how that was received” because the reaction became “so crazy and ridiculous.”
Page Six said it reached out to a representative for the Sussexes for comment and did not immediately hear back. The outlet noted the story is being updated.
