Kim Kardashian says she staged a visit to Britney Spears to draw paparazzi

Pagesix reports Kim Kardashian said she once used a purported visit to Britney Spears to attract paparazzi, recounting the episode during an appearance on "Khloé in Wonder Land."

Kardashian, now 45, said she and friend Jonathan Cheban, now 51, were dining in New York when Cheban learned Spears was staying at a nearby hotel. She recalled asking a man who was driving a Phantom Rolls-Royce for a ride and sitting in the back to appear chauffeured. On arrival they found paparazzi waiting for Spears, were asked "Kim, Kim, are you here to visit Britney?" and hid in a phone booth for about 20 minutes before leaving. Kardashian said the photographers later asked, "Kim, how was Britney?" and that they "totally scammed the system," adding, "[Fame] is all I wanted. I lived for it." She said the story ran "on every cover, and we thought we were killing it."

Kardashian noted she and Spears, now 44, first met in the early 2000s through Paris Hilton and have remained connected; they reunited for a sleepover last November. The anecdote was one of several Kardashian shared about seeking fame during her recent television appearance.
