Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 scratches my Knight of the Seven Kingdoms itch
With A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms racing toward its final episode, I find myself pining for the days when TV series were often spun into video game adaptations. Those licensed entries were frequently rushed and imperfect, but they let fans spend time with favorite characters between seasons — a habit I still credit 2008's Lost: Via Domus for satisfying during that show's hiatus.
After the absolutely epic episode 5 and knowing we'll be waiting at least a year for the series to return, I'd jump at the chance to play even a janky Dunk and Egg game. When a free-to-play mobile strategy sim failed to scratch that itch, I kept returning to last year's Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
If I squint a little, Warhorse Studios' RPG does a surprising job of making me feel like I'm back in rural Westeros adventuring with Ser Duncan the Tall.
