Kingsley Walters wears Baracuta trench at Shibuya Crossing
Kingsley Walters, 35, was wearing a trench coat when he was met at Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo; he said, "I’ve been wanting one for ages."
His coat was from Baracuta, and he had styled it with jeans from the Japanese label Fullcount and Merrell shoes. "I like a coat with a waist belt," he said, adding that he is "attracted to the workwear silhouette" and prefers "more minimal design stuff, like, really practical."
Walters is the designer of a namesake line of leather and canvas bags and lives in London; he was in Tokyo on a business trip. The leather bag slung over his shoulder was one he said he had created, called the Addington, and he said the inspiration "came from a cycling bag bike riders would use when they’re racing and stuff, so they can easily access their protein."
The image was captured by Simbarashe Cha, a Times photographer and visual columnist documenting style and fashion around the world.
