Konami quietly delists older Metal Gear Solid games ahead of remasters
Konami has removed older Metal Gear Solid releases from digital storefronts, pulling the 2014 PlayStation Network release of Metal Gear Solid 4 and the HD version of Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker for PS3. The store page for Peace Walker HD on PS3 has vanished, and the original 2008 console release is no longer available.
Peace Walker has been delisted across platforms, including Xbox storefronts, and both titles are now inaccessible as Konami prepares the recently announced Master Collection Vol. 2 remasters due in August. Guns of the Patriots will arrive in the collection without its Metal Gear Online spin‑off modes.
The removals occurred without warning, leaving the older versions unavailable ahead of the remastered releases.
