Kristen Bell Joins The Sonic 4 Cast As Amy

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 ended with a post-credits scene featuring Amy Rose, Sonic’s ally and love interest, but she didn’t speak during that brief appearance because the role hadn’t been cast. That has changed: Frozen and The Good Place actor Kristen Bell will voice Amy in Sonic the Hedgehog 4.

Ben Schwartz, who voices Sonic in the films, announced the casting on Instagram and included an image of the two actors holding figurines of their characters along with the message “WE HAVE OUR AMY ROSE!!! And I could not be more excited!!! Please welcome the incredible @kristenanniebell to the @sonicmovie family!!!” The fourth movie is set to premiere on March 19, 2027, and joins a voice cast that includes Schwartz as Sonic, Keanu Reeves as Shadow, Idris Elba as Knuckles, and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails.

O’Shaughnessey is the only actor in the film cast who is reprising her role from the Sonic games.
