Kurt Russell almost quit Taylor Sheridan's The Madison — Season 2 was already filmed
Kurt Russell says he nearly had to pull out of Taylor Sheridan's new Paramount+ series The Madison because he was filming the second season of Apple TV's Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, Entertainment Weekly reported. Sheridan and Michelle Pfeiffer worked with Paramount+ to film Russell's material first by effectively planning two seasons so his first-season scenes could be completed before the show's next production block.
Officially The Madison does not premiere until March 14 on Paramount+ and has not been publicly green-lit for a second season. MovieWeb notes this is the second time Season 2 has been mentioned as already filmed, after cast member Elle Chapman said so last month, and MovieWeb requested comment from Paramount+ but did not receive an immediate response.
Michelle Pfeiffer leads The Madison as Stacy Clyburn, with Russell as her husband Preston; the cast also includes Beau Garrett, Matthew Fox, Patrick J. Adams, Will Arnett and Elle Chapman.
