Legend of Grimrock and its sequel are 80% off on Steam until Monday

Pcgamer reports both Legend of Grimrock and Legend of Grimrock 2 are 80% off on Steam this weekend, with the discount ending on Monday. The original is available for $3 (£2.55) and the sequel for $4.79 (£4); both can also be bought together in a bundle for $6 (£5).

Legend of Grimrock first launched in 2012 as part of an early-2010s retro revival that drew on classics like Dungeon Master and Wizardry. Legend of Grimrock 2 expands the scope—letting players explore inside and outside on the Isle of Nax, and adding more weapons, monsters, spells, puzzles and other sequel features. Both games include level editors that the community has used to create custom adventures.

Legend of Grimrock 2 was technically the last project from Finnish studio Almost Human Games; key talent later reformed as Ctrl Alt Ninja and made 2019's Druidstone: The Secret of the Menhir Forest. It's not wholly clear what happened to the developer after that, and it doesn't appear to still be active—most of its key individuals seem to have moved back into traditional game development at studios such as Remedy Entertainment and Next Games. The discount ends on Monday.
