ZDNET: Lenovo LOQ 15AHP10 is a capable midrange gaming laptop for work and play
ZDNET reviewed Lenovo’s LOQ 15AHP10 and found it delivers smooth 1080p gaming while also serving as a reliable everyday productivity machine. The review unit included an AMD Ryzen 7 2500 processor, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5050 and 32GB of RAM, and ZDNET said the laptop handled AAA titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds, Resident Evil 4 Remake and Arc Raiders without major slowdowns.
The 15-inch 1080p panel runs at 144Hz, the chassis is a subdued silver design with a full‑size keyboard and the machine measures 0.94 x 14.17 x 10.19 inches and weighs just over five pounds. Battery life was limited in testing—about six hours on a single charge—but the LOQ supports Rapid Charge Pro; Lenovo claims a 30-minute charge will reach 50% and ZDNET’s test hit 77% in that time while the laptop was turned off.
ZDNET noted the LOQ is a budget model that lacks premium features: port selection is minimal (a right-side USB-C, USB-A and headphone jack, with HDMI 2.1 and Ethernet at the rear), there is no Thunderbolt 4 and the 1080p display has thick bezels that limit suitability for creative 4K work.
Prices vary by configuration—ZDNET listed entry-level options starting at $800 and said the review unit is available for $1,195, while a key takeaway noted a $1,000 availability—and Lenovo offers customization on its website.
