LG Gram 17 review: ultralight 17-inch laptop with Lunar Lake power — Latest news

The LG Gram 17 is the lightest, thinnest 17-inch laptop in its class, measuring 0.74 inches thick and weighing 3.2 pounds. It’s on sale for $1,199 (regular price around $1,700) and pairs that featherweight chassis with an Intel Core Ultra 7 "Lunar Lake" processor, 32GB of RAM and a terabyte of storage.

The 17-inch WQXGA (2560x1600) IPS touchscreen is bright and crisp, but the very thin panel wobbles with each press. The black matte finish attracts fingerprints, the full-size keyboard uses comparatively flat keys, and the large touchpad is responsive though lacking a haptic option.

The palm rest is expansive, and I/O is generous: HDMI, two USB-Cs with Thunderbolt 4 and DisplayPort, two USB-As, a headphone jack and a Kensington lock slot; the speakers sound shallow. Lunar Lake improves idle efficiency, allowing for multi-day use when the system is mostly idle, while sustained work typically yields around an eight-hour day and up to ten hours depending on workload.
