Goal reports, citing Sky News, that Liam Rosenior, newly appointed Chelsea head coach, has been convicted of speeding after a fog-delayed flight prevented him from taking part in a speed awareness course.

Rosenior admitted speeding in July and said he was unable to attend the course 'due to unforeseen circumstances' when his plane was delayed returning from Strasbourg. He accepted driving at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Derbyshire on July 7, and a magistrate ordered him to pay £1,052 in fines, costs and court fees.

Rosenior has taken over at Stamford Bridge after Enzo Maresca was sacked, signing a six-and-a-half-year deal; he will begin his managerial reign against Fulham on Wednesday, then face Charlton in the FA Cup third round this weekend and a Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal.
