Life Is Strange: Reunion confirmed for March 27 release
Kotaku reports Life Is Strange: Reunion has been confirmed and will launch for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S on March 27.
According to the report, Reunion stars Max Caulfield and Chloe Price as co-protagonists with distinct gameplay: Max can rewind time as in the original game, while Chloe uses the "Backtalk" mechanic from Before the Storm. The official announcement blog briefly appeared early on Xbox Wire, and the article says Chloe’s return may be linked to Max’s timeline-jumping in 2024’s Double Exposure, though the exact reconciliation with earlier endings remains uncertain. The blog adds, "Whether Chloe lived or died in Arcadia Bay, and whether she and Max were friends or lovers — these choices are key not just to the past you’ll confirm as you play, but to the future you’ll fight for the chance to build."
An update on 1/20/26 at 1:00 p.m. ET says the announcement livestream clarified that Max’s merging of timelines is central to Chloe’s appearance, that Rhianna DeVries is reprising Chloe’s voice, and that the Chloe players meet appears to carry contradictory memories from both timelines, with where she originates seemingly affected by the choice made in the original game. The update noted example exchanges that vary depending on that 2015 choice can be seen around the 37-minute mark of the reveal stream.
