Life Is Strange: Reunion reunites Max and Chloe as playable co-leads
Polygon reports that Life Is Strange: Reunion was announced Tuesday on Xbox Wire, reuniting Max and Chloe for a new time‑bending entry in the series.
The announcement says Reunion will pick up sometime after Double Exposure and serve as "the thrilling finale to the Max and Chloe saga, a chapter that brings their book to a close." For the first time in the series, Max and Chloe are playable co‑leads: Max retains an evolved Rewind power and, "according to Andrew James, senior brand manager for Life is Strange," finds that after leaping into a Polaroid to escape a fire "that she is able to stay in that past, starting all over again from the point she took a selfie." Chloe gains a Backtalk ability to "browbeat her opponents during key conversations" and can explore areas of Caledon University that Max cannot, James says. The reveal followed a PEGI rating leak and precedes a Square Enix livestream with more details.
Life Is Strange: Reunion is scheduled for release on March 26 for PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X, and Square Enix's livestream is expected to reveal additional information.
